Industry Thought Leaders Collaborate to Help Organizations Understand Business Benefits of Better Recruitment

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 4, 2008) - The RPO Alliance, a Special Interest Group of the Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA), has published the first edition of its Recruitment Assessment Guide. A member-driven organization, HROA’s RPO Alliance promotes the advancement of recruitment process outsourcing through better business tools and practices, research and peer-to-peer connections. The Guide was developed through the collaborative efforts of the alliance and reflects the best practices of industry thought leaders such as EquaTerra, Headway, Kelly Outsourcing and Consulting Group, People Science, PeopleScout, Pinstripe, Spherion, TalentRetriever and TPI.

Christine Nichlos of Tinton Falls, N.J.-based People Science, lead contributor to the guide, commented, “We designed the guide to help organizations evaluate their current recruiting processes. It’s a thought-provoking self examination to identify the best recruitment solution and determine whether outsourcing all or part of the recruiting process is right for the respective organization.”

The 32-page guide covers business-critical aspects of the recruitment process, such as planning; marketing/advertising and branding; related activities; candidate experience; the use of technology; total base case and cost-of-hire; metrics; and assessment findings. Written as an easy-to-use workbook, some sections have multiple answers to consider and, at the end of each section, the user can determine an overall score.

Nichlos concluded, “Recruitment process outsourcing is a strategic business decision that has the potential for considerable positive impact. This assessment was designed by experts to be a valuable component in assisting companies as they determine not only their internal needs but the value of RPO to their business.”

The Recruitment Assessment Guide is available at no charge. To learn more about the RPO Alliance and to access the Guide, visit RPO Alliance.
