Ms. Melby has made numerous contributions to the legal practice of HR outsourcing over the years. She’s an accomplished author, speaker, and of course rain-maker and deal-maker. Her published works include Business Process Outsourcing: Process, Strategies, and Contracts and Information Technology Outsourcing: Process, Strategies, and Contracts. Her honors include HRO Superstar and repeated recognition by Chambers USA as one of America’s leading BPO attorneys. Because of this and all her EXTRAORDINARY work demystifying the process of outsourcing for countless lawyers and HR professionals, she deserves the accolade: HROA Attorney of the Year.
Ms. Parkhurst’s accomplishments are no less laudable. She has been and continues to be one of the most sought after legal minds in this industry, currently serving as the principal resource on many of the best known HRO deals, including Johnson & Johnson, Avon, and Cendant. Her work to rationalize liability and risk allocation to reflect the actual – and complex – nature of HRO services has substantially contributed to the state of legal practice in HRO. In addition, her work to create standard forms for Statements of Work and Service Level Agreements has significantly streamlined the contract process and increased efficiency for customers and suppliers. Because of these EXTRAORDINARY contributions and many more, Ms. Parkhurst truly is the HROA’s Attorney of the Year.
