Award Citation
Every year the HROA invites its People of the Year Alumni to present this award. This year Glenn Davidson and Harry Feinberg shared the stage, with Mr. Feinberg presenting the award. Mr. Davidson was our honoree in 2005 for his work as the HROA’s founding chairman and his innovative work with Accenture HR Services as its head of strategy. Since winning this award two years ago, Mr. Davidson has gone on to do groundbreaking work in back-office transformation at for the public sector, working with government at all levels in his new position as head of EquaTerra Public Sector. Mr. Davidson is an accomplished strategist, author, speaker, and thought leader.
Mr. Feinberg received this distinction in 2006 for really giving form and definition to what was an indistinct idea: namely that of HRO. Mr. Feinberg gave birth to so many things: the leading trade publication, HRO Today; the leading conferences, the HRO World Conferences and Expos; the leading association, namely the HROA; and much more. Mr. Feinberg gave a “start” in this industry to many of its biggest and brightest stars and for that we are grateful.
Our 2007 Award Winner, Christian Baader, built from scratch one of the best technology support platforms powering many of the most successful HRO engagements, helped service providers lower the cost of technology, and demonstrated how technology can reduce risk in complex HRO relationships. As a result, Mr. Baader has made a significant contribution to the sustainability and reliability of HRO solutions. As with several of our other award winners, in the face of growing questions about profitability among many of our service provider brethren, Mr. Baader helped definitively answer that yes, with the proper deployment of technology, you can improve service, decrease cost, and make money.
