Washington, DC, August 10, 2007 – Reflecting the growing number of mid-market companies actively engaged in transforming their HR function, the HROA announced today its Mid-Market Forum.  The Forum will bring together companies seeking to reduce cost, improve quality, and enhance employee service in an independent setting to discuss the critical challenges facing their organizations.  Members will have the opportunity to share their experiences, hear from experts, and benefit from the HROA’s research, benchmarking, and industry standards.

Lisa Knutson of The E. W. Scripps Company will become the Mid-Market Forum’s first Chairwoman.  “The Mid-Market Forum will let members like me learn from each other so we can reduce the pain and speed up the benefits of HRO in companies of our size,” said Ms. Knutson.  “I’m really looking forward to serving as the Forum’s first Chair as we engage in this important work.”  Other founding companies include Accenture, ADP, and Ceridian.  “Our mid-market clients will now have a place to go for the hard data and professional networking they need to effectively manage their HRO relationships” said Mr. Jeff Bizzack, head of Accenture BPO Services and Vice-Chairman of the HROA.

“The HROA has become the destination for buyers and practitioners seeking independent insights on transforming the HR function,” said Ms. Sharon Taylor, Senior VP for Corporate Human Resources at Prudential and Chair of the HROA.  “The addition of the Mid-Market Forum will help ensure the HROA can provide the same level of member-benefits for mid-market companies as it has for large market companies.”
The Mid-Market Forum joins the HROA’s other Special Interest Groups (SIGs), including its RPO Alliance, Buyers Group, and Public Sector Group.  Through these SIGs the HROA enables its members to organize themselves to interact with peers and find the experiences and information most relevant to them. “HROA’s creation of the Mid-Market Forum is a huge win for the mid-market buying community,” said Mike Hogan, Division Vice President with ADP and HROA Board Member. “We know that strategic outsourcing is increasingly on the minds and agendas of mid-sized organizations, which makes this Forum an ideal resource for organizations looking to find practical, reliable and forward-thinking information.”
