Alsbridge, the global outsourcing, shared services and offshoring advisory firm was ranked as the top outsourcing advisory service in 2006, the result of a professional survey administered last December by the Brown-Wilson Group, authors of the best-selling book, The Black Book of Outsourcing.

The survey analyzed outsourcing buyer's attitudes toward outsourcing advisors including if they had used an advisory service for their outsourcing arrangements and their satisfaction with the outcome.

"Outsourcing advisors have grown in importance over the last ten years so it was necessary that we poll outsourcing buyers to find the best outsourcing advisors," said Douglas Brown, president of the Brown-Wilson Group.

The survey polled 240 buyers and prospective buyers in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific to rate the advisors on their methodologies, services offered, consultation quality, buyer direction, satisfaction with outcomes and outsourcing expertise.

"The team at Alsbridge received top scores consistently across all areas of outsourcing advisory services to achieve this top ranking," said Brown. "Additionally, of those potential buyer respondents who had never used the firm before, the Alsbridge methods for outsourcing success were imperative features they would want during the sourcing cycle," said Brown.
