RPO Alliance

The RPO Alliance, a special interest group of the HROA, was formed to address the need for unbiased, vendor-neutral information about the growing RPO industry. The RPO Alliance’s activities are geared toward advancing the RPO industry by increasing understanding of recruitment process improvement among HR practitioners and improving communication among constituents. The RPO Alliance carries out its mission to improve recruitment processes for all companies through a variety of activities.
Events
The RPO Alliance engages in events that help to improve understanding of the industry, including buyer needs and provider capabilities. For example, the RPO Alliance hosts the RPO Practitioners Summit, a unique event held exclusively for RPO practitioners.
In addition, the RPO Alliance seeks to identify key events globally where its presence could help raise the profile of the industry. Alliance members join together to collaborate on timely and informative presentations that help not only to improve understanding of the industry, but also to highlight provider capabilities.

Business Tools
The RPO Alliance is developing a set of tools to help HR practitioners navigate the tricky recruitment process waters and determine the best source of recruitment process improvement tools for them.
The toolset includes:
- Recruitment Process Self Assessment Guide – A step-by-step guide for HR practitioners on how to evaluate their recruitment performance, and determine if, where, and when RPO is viable for their organization. Content includes: mapping the current process, developing the ideal recruitment process, baselining current recruitment costs, and developing the business case for recruitment improvement spending.
- RPO Industry Glossary – A glossary of RPO terms and definitions to ensure everyone speaks the same language.
- RPO Buying Guide and Directory – A roadmap and best practices guide for those practitioners who have decided to purchase RPO services, as well as an online directory of RPO providers. Content includes scoping the RPO relationship, building the RPO selection team, selecting the best provider(s), and contracting for success.
