The Board of Northgate Information Solutions plc welcomes the announcement this morning by the Office of Fair Trading that it has decided not to refer the acquisition of the Rebus HR Group, or any part of it, to the Competition Commission. As a result, the competition condition of the acquisition has been satisfied.
A further announcement will be made shortly once legal completion of the acquisition has occurred.Chris Stone, chief executive of Northgate, said: "We are delighted with the OFT's announcement today. The acquisition of Rebus HR will transform Northgate into one of the leading suppliers of software applications and outsourcing solutions in the HR market. The outlook for the enlarged group is very exciting."
Definitions used in this announcement shall have the meanings given to them in the announcement dated 17 December 2003, except where context requires otherwise.
