Docent's Enterprise 4.8 to power Exult's web-enabled training management services Exult, a provider of web-enabled, integrated services designed to manage the HR function for Global 500 corporations, and Docent, a provider of eLearning infrastructure and services, have entered into a strategic alliance aimed at providing best-in-class training management services and knowledge exchange technology. This alliance will significantly improve service delivery and lower delivery costs to Exult's clients.
Via eLearning, large enterprises can efficiently exchange knowledge and manage their training programmes. The Exult eHR(SM) solution offers a spectrum of web-enabled services designed to manage the human resource functions, including training, for Global 500 corporations.Exult will deploy Docent(TM) Enterprise 4.8 software platform to manage training programmes and training administration activities for multiple clients. These activities include planning and assembling courses and custom curriculums, allowing employees to enrol for web-based learning activities, delivering courses and assessments to the employee's desktop, certifying competency and course completion and measuring the effects of eLearning on such metrics as sales, customer satisfaction and profitability.
Steve Unterberger, executive vice president of development and consulting for Exult, said, "We selected Docent's software platform for its scalability, range of functionality and intuitive interface. Training administration at Global 500 companies has historically been characterized by fragmented, ad hoc programmes, whose return on investment was difficult to measure. Docent's solution aligns well with the Exult eHR approach of harnessing best practices and the power of the web to make HR a strategic contributor to our clients' business success."
"Under this agreement, Exult will be a partner as well as a customer," said Dave Ellett, president and CEO of Docent. "Exult is a market leader in providing comprehensive, web-enabled HR outsourcing to large, multinational companies. Deep partnership with quality companies like Exult is the cornerstone of our growth strategy, and this relationship will help extend our existing customer base of Global 500 enterprises."
